< The Tringgus Trail >
The Tringgus trail takes you to a beautiful and remote Bidayuh village beyond Bau and onwards on foot for 30 minutes in primary jungle with local guides to the Indonesian border. There are real skulls in the headhouse and life is lived in much the same way as it has been for centuries. On the way we visit a village which played a major role in the history of Sarawak, visit a birds nest trader and go to a local produce market. Lunch is Bidayuh style at our own place in the country. Next, the enormous Fairy Cave chamber where we will explain the geological processes involved in it's creation and then a second village, as remote as the first, whose inhabitants were famed for their ferocity! Our offroad segment takes us high into a nearby mountain range before we head back to Kuching.
The adventure as described in a Pajero or similar.
Photos of you taken during the trip and sent by email along with a selection from our library.
